Frequently asked questions

What Movara is, how to get it, and how stories, accounts, and publishing work.

About Movara

What is Movara?
Movara is interactive fiction you watch. A scene plays, the story reaches a fork, and what happens next is the choice you make — so a series is something you steer rather than something you sit through.
How do forks work?
At a fork you get a handful of options. Tap one and the story continues from it: the next scene, the next beat, and everything after are shaped by what you chose. Choose differently on another run and the series takes a different shape.
Are stories written or AI-generated?
Both. A creator can write every branch in advance, or let an AI model carry the story between the beats they set. Which model is the creator’s choice — Movara is not tied to one provider.
Can I go back and take the other path?
Yes. Start the series again and choose the other option — nothing locks you out of a branch you skipped.
Do I type to the characters?
No. Movara moves on the choices you tap, not on free-text chat.

Getting the app

How do I install Movara on iPhone?
Use the App Store link at movara.world, then tap Get. Updates arrive through the App Store automatically.
How do I install Movara on Android?
The Android link at movara.world opens the Movara listing on Google Play. Movara is in open testing there, so tap Install as you would for any other app — updates arrive through Play automatically.
Is Movara available in the app stores?
Yes. The iPhone app is available on the App Store, and the Android build is available through open testing on Google Play.
What do I need to run it?
A recent iPhone or Android phone and a connection good enough for video — scenes stream rather than download.

Accounts and billing

How do I sign up?
Sign in with your Google account. There is no password to set — Google confirms it is you, and we get your email address, name, and profile picture to set up your profile.
Can I change my name or photo?
Yes, in Profile → Account Details.
Does my progress follow me between devices?
Yes. Progress, My List, and your choices are tied to your account, so signing in on another device picks up where you left off.
What does a subscription cover?
Movara sells a single subscription plan. The price and billing period shown on the paywall when you buy are the ones that apply, and they follow your local store.
How do I cancel?
In the Google Play or App Store account you bought it with — the store handles the billing, not us. Cancelling stops the next renewal and leaves your access running until the period you already paid for ends. Deleting the app does not cancel it.
I bought a subscription but the app doesn’t see it.
Make sure you are signed in to the same store account you bought it with, then reopen the paywall to restore your purchase. If it still does not appear, contact us with the store receipt.
Can I get a refund?
Refunds go through the store that took the payment, under its own policy — Google Play or the App Store.

For creators

What is Story Engine?
The studio where a series is built: scenes, the forks between them, and the branches each choice leads to. It is open to anyone, not an invite-only programme.
How does my series reach readers?
Publish it from Story Engine and it appears in the Movara catalog, where anyone using the app can find and read it.
Do I keep the rights to what I make?
Yes. You keep ownership; publishing grants Movara the licence it needs to host and show your series in the app. The full wording is in the Terms.
What am I responsible for?
Everything you publish, including anything you generate with an AI model — you need the rights to it, and it has to follow the Terms and the law.
Can I unpublish a series?
Yes. Unpublishing removes it from the catalog; readers keep no copy, and our licence ends save for backups that expire on their own schedule.
