Terms & Conditions
Effective
These terms are the agreement between you and Movara. They cover the Movara app, the Story Engine studio, and the Movara website at movara.world. By creating an account or using Movara you accept them; if you do not accept them, do not use Movara.
Who can use Movara
You must be at least 13 years old, or older where your country sets a higher minimum age for online services, and old enough to enter a contract where you live. Some series carry mature themes and are labelled accordingly; do not use Movara if you are below the age its labelling requires.
Your account
You sign in with Google. Keep that account secure — anything done through your Movara account is treated as done by you. Tell us promptly if you believe someone else has access. You may not share, sell, or transfer your account, and you may not create one on behalf of someone else without their permission.
What Movara provides
Movara is an interactive fiction service: you watch a scene, choose what happens next, and the story continues from your choice. Depending on the series, a turn is either written in advance by its creator or generated by an AI model the creator chose — so an AI-driven series can read differently between runs, and no particular outcome is guaranteed.
Everything in Movara is fiction and entertainment. Nothing in a story is advice — medical, legal, financial, or otherwise — and no character in it is a real person or a professional. We add, change, and remove series over time, and we may change or discontinue features; a series you have started may become unavailable.
Subscriptions and payment
Parts of Movara require a paid subscription. Subscriptions are sold and billed by Google Play or the Apple App Store, not by us, and are managed for us by RevenueCat. The price, billing period, and renewal terms shown on the paywall at the moment of purchase are the ones that apply.
- A subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel it.
- Cancel any time in the Google Play or App Store account you bought it with — cancelling stops the next renewal and leaves your access running to the end of the period you already paid for.
- Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- Refunds are handled by the store under its own policy, not by us. Where the law gives you a right to withdraw or a refund, that right stands regardless of this section.
- If we change the price, we will tell you before it takes effect and you may cancel rather than accept it.
Acceptable use
Use Movara lawfully and leave it working for everyone else. You agree not to:
- Break the law, infringe anyone’s rights, or harass, threaten, or endanger anyone through the service.
- Copy, record, scrape, redistribute, or resell series, clips, or artwork from Movara.
- Reverse engineer the app, probe or interfere with our systems, or bypass rate limits, paywalls, or access controls.
- Use bots or automated tools against our APIs, or run the service through anything other than our official apps.
- Publish, or steer a story toward, content that is illegal, or that sexualises minors, in any circumstances.
We may suspend or terminate an account that breaks these rules, and we will act immediately where there is a risk of harm or illegality.
Publishing through Story Engine
Story Engine is open to anyone. A series you publish there is listed in the Movara catalog and can be read by anyone using the app, so publish only what you are entitled to publish.
- You keep ownership of what you create.
- By publishing, you grant Movara a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce, adapt for delivery, display, and distribute your series within Movara and to promote it — for as long as it stays published, plus the time it takes to remove it from our systems and backups.
- You confirm you have the rights to everything you publish, including text, images, audio, and video, and that it does not infringe anyone’s copyright, trademark, privacy, or publicity rights. This applies equally to material you generate with an AI model — you are responsible for it, and for complying with that model provider’s own terms.
- You are responsible for what you publish. We do not pre-review series, but we may refuse, unlist, edit the listing of, or remove anything that breaks these terms or the law.
- If your series is removed or you unpublish it, the licence above ends except for copies we must keep by law or that remain in backups until they expire.
If you believe something on Movara infringes your copyright, contact us with the work concerned, the series in question, and enough detail to find it. We remove infringing material and terminate the accounts of repeat infringers.
Our content and yours
Movara, its name, apps, design, and first-party series are ours or our licensors’, and nothing here transfers them to you. We give you a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Movara for your own enjoyment — nothing more.
Ending this agreement
You can stop using Movara at any time; cancel any subscription in the store that sold it. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, if we are required to by law, or if we discontinue the service — and where we end it without cause, you keep any subscription time you have already paid for or receive it back through the store.
Disclaimers and liability
Movara is provided as-is. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any particular series, feature, or story outcome will remain available. To the fullest extent the law allows, we exclude implied warranties, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or lost data.
Where liability cannot be excluded, ours is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not permit us to limit — and if you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.
Changes to these terms
We update these terms as Movara changes. The effective date at the top always reflects the current version. For material changes we will give notice in the app or by email before they take effect; continuing to use Movara afterwards means you accept them, and if you do not, stop using the service and cancel any subscription.
